Elizabeth Afanasyev
dipACLM, NBC-HWC
I'm Elizabeth. I'm here doing this work because women deserve a space to feel seen and heard during this major life transition.
The decision to undergo gynecologic surgery can bring a lot of trepidation (to put it mildly!) along with a tangle of other feelings. But I also believe there's incredible potential for positive change post-op. For many women, years of navigating pain, bowel and bladder challenges, or heavy bleeding can change radically—almost overnight. As your body heals and stops fighting chronic inflammation, you may discover energy you forgot you had.
I'm passionate about helping women make the most of this time. I want you to go into surgery feeling confident, supported, prepared, and calm—with a solid plan to maximize your physical and mental health before and after. During recovery, I help women gradually increase movement, often leading to significantly more activity than before surgery.
I bring experience as a Physician Assistant, along with certifications in Health Coaching and Lifestyle Medicine. I also have personal experience with gynecologic procedures. This means I understand what's happening medically AND the frustrations, fears, and vulnerabilities that come with it. I have the training to meet you where you're at, figure out where you want to go, and develop a realistic plan to get there. (And yes, we'll make sure it's all healthy too. 😊)
Ready to chat? I'd love to learn more about you and how I can help.
